The Story Behind “Life on Cherry Lane”

It was the mid 1940’s when Robert Greenawalt, a city boy, married his high school sweetheart, Mary, a farmer’s daughter and nurse. They soon settled into life as a married couple and bought their first home and farm together, on Cherry Lane.
For me, this is where it all began. Robert and Mary were my husbands grandparents and an irreplaceable influence on his, and years down the road, my life. When my husband and I started talking about my ideas for a blog, my photography and other business adventures, we wanted it to be founded on our family roots. Cherry Lane, gave us that opportunity and from there, “Life on Cherry Lane”, “Cherry Lane Photography” and even further down the road came my husbands addition to the Cherry Lane family with Cherry Lane Lawn and Landscape and our small homestead.

My husband and I met in 2007.  He was is a devilishly handsome man that convinced me to give him a chance after I asserted on the very first night that we met that we would never EVER date. Poor guy. Its a story I love to tell and he loves to add at the end “I showed her!”. Eight years of marriage, many moves across country, deployments and 4 kids later, I’d say he was right.  I’ve spent the last 6 years of our life together changing diapers, wiping mouths, kissing boo boo’s and answering to Mom. Being a stay at home Mom is the hardest and BEST job I have known, but I needed something for myself. I needed an outlet. Something that was mine. I am so excited for this opportunity and am thrilled you are here!
